Integral planning on the scale of a country

Event Details

Integral planning on the scale of a country: 1 policy document + 10 years = 828,145 new dwellings

JAM* architects + planners is an agency for design and research. Working from region to city and from building to public space. From design to research and publications. With a special interest for strategy and the process of making spatial plans with attention for details.

In Department of Design, Jeroen Mensink from JAM* would like to invite local professionals, politicians and academics of urban and regional planning. The aim is to show a broad audience the importance of integral regional and city planning by showing the results of the last major national planning operation in the Netherlands: “The Vinex,” from 1995 until 2005. And hereby exchange knowledge and experience about the integral approach of the Vinex as a unique Dutch expertise that finds a growing demand in South Africa.
