#cocreate2ACCELERATE Day #2 Mentoring and the tackling of sector specific challenges

Day #2 of #cocreate2aCCELERATE proved to be a day of insights and the addressing of sector specific challenges. 

The morning session hosted presentations of success stories by local entrepreneurs, namely:

Shirley Gilbey - Head of Rise in Africa shares insights into the African FinTech world!

Glenn Gillis - CEO Seamonster and a #cocreateSA alumni showcases their champion product with us!

Bradley Wattrus - Co-Founder and CFO of Yoco shares how they are living their success and growth story

The afternoon session gathered participants and mentors from the local ecosystem to delve into the identified vertical sector challenges. 

The challenges include: 

How can technology empower and streamline processes in the healthcare profession as well as the overall medical eco-system to tackle the challenge of doctor to patient ratio in South Africa? 

How to transform the banking system to make credit more accessible and affordable to SMMEs in South Africa. 

The current education structure (traditional methods) at school is not adequate to equip students to enter or succeed at University 

How can technology, data analytics and auto learning machines disrupt the way we look at agricultural efficiency and water restoration practices?
